Ken Stryker

You better lose yourself in the music, the moment, you own it, you better never let it go.

Ken has only ever had three people in his life he could ever count on. The first is himself. Shielding his thoughts and emotions, keeping it all inside, that's how he's dealt with his problems. Using his mind, working it out himself makes him stronger, at least that's what he thinks. This attitude as caused the loner in him to be exposed and left him with not many people to trust.

The second is his older brother, Will. Will has been with Ken his entire life, almost never leaving his side, never abandoning him as others have done. This connection comes from the loss of their parents. They were never told what or why it had happened. Will's the only one who can remember, saying his parents left the house one day crying and sobbing, never to be seen again. Ken knows he has Will for support, but as the brothers start their own lives, they drift farther apart every day.

And the third was the girl with the strawberries. Terra Astral. The girl on the neighborhood who would bring sweet strawberries to the houses every summer. Ken's first true love. Some would say they took it too fast, but they say it was just right. Terra became pregnant at age 16, and they both supported the idea of starting a family even with the difficulties involved. This all changed when the life ebbed out of Terra and the child at birth. Devastated, Ken avoided talking to anyone for months, until he finally bounced back. He now pushes people away, not wanting to become close with anyone else in fear of losing them. Through everything Ken's experienced, he never has a good day. Some days are better than others, but they are never good. The question is will Ken be able to find a ray of sunshine in his life again?
